Take the Stage!

Take the Stage

A Four-Part Professional Development Program offered by I’ve Decided and facilitated by Cindy Byrd, founder/owner, image potential training and consulting

Have you decided to become a public speaker or to enhance your current public speaking ability?  Do you have an important message you want to publicly share but aren’t sure where to start?  Are you interested in being selected to speak on the main stage at the 5th Annual I’ve Decided Motivational Conference in January 2019?  If you answered “yes” to these questions, please enroll in this exciting new program today

seating is limited to the first 10 registrants.

Talking in front of a group can be challenging and stressful – but it doesn’t have to be.  It can be quite the opposite if you devote time to preparation, polish up your delivery skills, and use feedback to learn and improve.  This program is designed to develop and enhance your public speaking skills in order to be more confident, poised, and engaging.  Specifically, you’ll:

  • Review and practice techniques for preparation and planning of presentations and public speaking engagements
  • Determine appropriate media tools and design techniques
  • Learn and practice methods to enhance delivery skills and professional presence
  • Discuss strategies for rehearsing, managing anxiety, and maintaining poise
  • Experience hands-on practice and feedback (video playback/ audience input) of presentation design and delivery

This program is divided into four, two-hour sessions, Tuesday nights, 6:30pm-8:30pm, with time in between sessions for presentation development, practice, and revision – please see outline below.  After completing all four sessions, participants will conduct their presentations on a separate date for a live audience and a panel of judges.  A combination of audience response and judges’ ratings will be used to select the individual who will be awarded the honor of speaking on the main stage at the 5th Annual I’ve Decided Motivational Conference in January 2019.  A runner-up will also be chosen, in the event the first-place selection is unable to fulfill his/her speaking engagement at the conference.
